John
A. Moody has been practicing personal injury law
as a lawyer in Rockville, MD since 1993, providing legal service
to all of Montgomery County MD including Bethesda, Chevy Chase,
Damascus, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Kensington, Olney, Potomac,
Silver Spring, Takoma Park and Wheaton. He is a graduate of
the University of Maryland and Temple University Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1993.
Mr. Moody received an American Jurisprudence Award for outstanding legal research and writing, and the Outstanding Oral Advocacy for his argument in Trial Advocacy class. Thereafter, Mr. Moody received an award for Outstanding Classroom Performance for Secured Transactions. He also served as the Secretary of the Executive Board for Moot Court.
After law school, Mr. Moody clerked for the Honorable William C. Miller in Montgomery County, Maryland from 1993 to 1994. Mr. Moody then joined the law firm of Sussman & Simcox where he represented clients such as Allstate, Nationwide, Bankers Independent, and the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund.
Mr. Moody is licensed to practice law in Montgomery County and Prince Georges County, Maryland and has the experience necessary to represent you in your case. His office is located near the Montgomery County Court Houses.

Mr. Moody is a life long resident of Montgomery County, Maryland. During his career, he has tried several hundred cases to verdicts in Maryland circuit and district courts, including jury trials in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Charles, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, and St. Mary's counties. Mr. Moody is a fearless litigator who has successfully taken on county governments on behalf of wronged citizens, and obtained hundreds of settlements with insurance companies in favor of his clients.
Mr. Moody also has enjoyed opportunities to serve the Circuit Court of Montgomery County via appointments of the Court to serve as Trustee to sell real estate, Trustee to sell personal property, and attorney for alleged disabled in guardianship proceedings.
